And the winner is...

Disclaimer:
This blog is to keep you updated. That does not mean it will always be interesting. I reserve the right to ramble about laundry, air temperature, and whatever else comes to mind as I type. This being said, please feel free to send me emails with specific questions about thing I gloss over, or things I do not cover that you are interested in. Also, feel free to not read this at all. It may not be interesting. It may be exactly like your life, only in Korea... I am still going to wonder what to eat for dinner, and complain that I am not working out enough. I reserve the right to let this blog go whereever it wants, and if you want something other than what is here, just email me and ask. I would be happy to ramble about any topic of your choice.

On to the "good stuff"
South Korea!
For those who did not know, I had to go to Seattle to get my visa in person. Its a bit of a drive, but I got to see Lukas and his uncle, which made the trip worthwhile.
I did my first Pimsluer's Korean on the ride up to Seattle yesterday. I am beginning to get used to the sound of Korean, yet struggling to repeat these sounds and letter combinations. I find that if I can relate it to a word we have in English I do better, so the word for "excuse me" which is sheeleshiman becomes chalet-she-man (Jamican man, not American). I am going to have to learn all the symbols for pronunciation because I can tell already this is going to happen a lot. So I am trying to do that with all the really hard ones. Its a good challenge, and I have not tried to memorize things in a long time, so its got to be good for my brain.
Anyway, Korean Consulate. I came, I saw, I was approved. So decision made. The job in China is still available, but its not until the end of March and its a lot more hours for not much more money. I will have to visit Kevin when I get a chance. Or live in China next year. Who knows.

So the last waiting game that is driving me nuts is waiting for the email with my plane ticket attached. After that I can't possibly have anything to worry about, right? Ha.

The next week is devoted to friends and family and packing. I am so happy to be making these steps towards living in a new place and teaching English. I can't believe it is really happening. I can't remember the first time I thought "I want to go teach English." but it was a long time ago... And now it is happening. Go me.
